Well, winter is definitely in the air in Central Oregon. The air is getting chilly--I've had to bring the winter down jacket out of summer storage already--and the forecasters have been calling for snow. The talk around town is that Mt. Bachelor has a planned opening date of Friday, November 18th, just in time for the Thanksgiving crowd. Many of you have been inquiring about lift ticket packages since September, so we are eager to announce our ski and stay packages that are posted on our website. We have a new promotion this winter that we think you'll absolutely love--Stay 3, Ski F*REE special.

Speaking of ski season, you can ski for $20 at Bachelor on Nov. 17. The Education Foundation and Mount Bachelor are teaming up to hold the first Ski for Schools Day on Nov. 17 with the goal of raising $75,000 for schools in Bend, La-Pine and Redmond. If you'll be in the area, you can purchase advance tickets for $15 at the following locations: Bank of the Cascades in Redmond and Sisters; Bend-LaPine School District Office; Mid-Oregon Credit Unions in Bend and Redmond; Redmond McDonald's restaurant; Redmond School District Office; U.S. Banks in Bend, La Pine, Redmond and Sisters and most area ski shops. Think snow!
