JULY 4 – The 7 th Annual Firecracker 100 Road Bike Ride, which celebrates the birth of America. This 100 mile bike
ride will leave from WebCyclery, located in the Old Mill District, and proceed through Alfalfa, past the Prineville Reservoir

JULY 4 – Pet Parade & Festival where children of all ages (1-100) bring their special pets through downtown Bend. Enjoy

JULY 12 – 16 – Bend Memorial Clinic Cascade Cycling Classic. Celebrating its 28 th year in scenic Central Oregon the
2006 event is the longest running stage racing event in North America. The five day event spans the entire Central
Oregon landscape from the Formidable McKenzie Pass to the popular downtown criterium. For more info

JULY 14 – The 2006 Sagebrush Classic. An incredible experience in golf and culinary artistry and is a benefit
for the Deschutes Children’s Foundation which supports and promotes a vast range of services for children
and families in need in Central Oregon. Held at the Broken Top Club and located off Century Drive in Bend.
JULY 14 – Les Schwab Amphitheater concert featuring, Super Diamond, paying tribute to Neil Diamond. This is
a free concert but donations of $5 minimum is appreciated, which will be distributed to non-profit organizations
helping the community. Les Schwab Amphitheater is located 322 SW Shevlin-Hixon Drive in Bend.
JULY 15 - Coffeehouse Jazz at Be-Bop Biscotti at 1900 NE Division St. (in the Whistle Stop Business Center). From

JULY 15 - Bend Saturday Market. Held each Saturday through Labor Day, artists and crafters sell their goods in an open
outdoor summer market. Located on Wall Street in downtown Bend across from the Bend Public Library.
JULY 15 – Les Schwab Amphitheater presents, “Nickel Creek”. In their only Oregon appearance, this San Diego based
band has been described as “progressively acoustic”, with a core influence of bluegrass. Showtime 6:30pm, doors at 5pm.

JULY 19 – Oregon High Desert Classics Horse Show nationally recognized hunter/jumper show is a fund-raiser to
benefit J Bar J Youth Services and its many programs for Central & Eastern Oregon children and their families. The
show is actually two separate competitions, held from Wed through Sat of its two-week run. Where? At J Bar J Ranch,
62895 Hamby Rd. in Bend. Shows are from 8am to 5pm and the Saturday evening Grand Prix begins at 6:30pm.

JULY 23 – Summer Sunday Concert featuring, Ten Mile Tide, a foot-stomping, finger snapping, and leg slapping
