Greetings ,

I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am. I was able to get out and catch a show at the Les Schwab Amphitheater this past weekend--Fiona Apple and Damien Rice were playing. If you haven't been to one of the concerts at this spectacular Bend venue, you should definitely plan on it. The setting is optimal--fresh air, green soft grass, along the river, vivid sunsets in the backdrop, f*ree parking, and perhaps the best part is the lack of crowds. The Les Schwab Amphitheater gets many big name acts every summer and fall, so grab your lawn chairs and enjoy the show! Now onto some Sunriver vacation rental news.

10% SUMMER RETURNING GUEST APPRECIATION - As a thank you to our guests that stay with us every summer, we offer a 10% discount off your next summer's reservation. You'll need to book your stay for summer 2007 before September 15th, 2006. Hurry--your favorite home may get booked up!

NEW BROCHURE - Sunset Realty's newest vacation rental brochure has arrived hot off the printing press featuring all of our current vacation homes and condos. If you would like to receive a F*REE brochure mailed to you, please visit our Brochure Request page on our website, and we'll get one mailed out ASAP.

If you haven't made your reservations yet and want to fit in a 2-day sabbatical, we have opened up all homes and condos to a 2-night stay for the rest of the summer except for Labor Day weekend which is a 3 night minimum. You may have to stay 3 nights over Labor Day, but you can get a 4th night F*REE!

We look forward to seeing you in Sunriver soon!

  Outdoor Adventures

"Take Some Stuff, Leave Some Stuff" is the Name of the Game!

Cache in on the Fun of Geocaching

The name of the game is Geocaching, a scavenger hunt type of game played in the great outdoors. All you need is a GPS device and your own two feet.

Started in 2000, Geocaching has become a popular past time for folks who want to "hide" and "seek" out treasures in inconspicuous places. Leaving clues and coordinates for the curious seekers to find on websites like www.geocaching.com, seekers usually find an old ammunition can or box of some sort containing a log book and small tokens that you can take away with you. Remember--the major rule of the game is to leave something for the next set of seekers to find.

Sunriver actually has a number of geocache hunts ranging from easy to difficult like the Circle 12 cache, and there are more within Central Oregon. Add some adventure to your next day hike or mountain bike trek by bringing your GPS and look out for the "travel bugs". You may want to even create a cache while you are here with something in it that is representative of you and your family's Sunriver vacation and leave it for others to find--kids will love this! For the official how-to's on getting started and more information, visit here.

Look for the Sunriver Village Mall Geocaching event coming on October 7-9th!
